Here’s the first step for the whole equation.

How to Subtract Polynomials

Here I will teach you how to subtract Polynomials without having to model every time.
1. There is a trick so that you can subtract easier. You can insert the subtract sign in between the two Polynomials.
2. When two negatives are added, it creates a positive because the signs are the same.
3. This makes the polynomial easier to answer by combining like terms.

Combining Like Terms

Objective: You need to teach someone how to combine like terms, what steps/ things would you tell them?

1. This is a term: 2x
2. This is a polynomial (with many terms): 2x+3x-1+5x-7+4
3. To simplify this polynomial you have to combine like terms. This is when you add all of the same types of terms together.
4. Here are examples of like terms: 2x > 3x. 5 > -3.
5. When you do this on paper it helps to circle the like pairs so you don’t miss anything and once all matched, just cross them out so you’re organized.
6. Now you just have to combine them all together. Remember to keep an eye on the sign. So let’s look at the polynomial again;
2x+3x-1+5x-7+4
…..
…..
=10x-4
7. Here’s another example: 8x-3+5x+2-2x
….
….
=13x+5
How easy? :)

My Learning

I am gonna be posting learning skills I have done in Science and Math here so that if we do something cool I can just post it easily like bam.

This is my favorite song… It helped me in Science 8 and I believe all notes should be in song.
